HOW DID YOU GET INTO CROSSFIT  HUTCH AND I GO WAY BACK.  HE STARTED RUNNING WODS IN THE PARK AND INVITED ME AND MY WIFE TO COME OUT AND TRY IT. FROM THERE I WAS HOOKED.

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO NEW COMERS TO CROSSFIT GO AT YOUR OWN PACE.  DON’T WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING.  EVERYONE DOES THE SAME WOD, DO IT AT YOUR OWN LEVEL OF INTENSITY.

WHY DO YOU LIKE TRAINING AT CROSSFIT BREED  I GET TO SUPPORT MY BOY HUTCH IN LIVING HIS DREAM, AND I GET THE BENEFIT OF A GREAT TRAINING PROGRAM IN A MOTIVATING ENVIRONMENT.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND  WHY?    Favorite WOD was “12 Days of Xmas” Favorite Movement is Front Squats..

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND WHY?  Least favorite right now I would have to say is Hand Stand Push Ups Just for the fact that I can’t do them yet, hahaha

HOW DID YOU GET INTO CROSSFIT?    My brother had been working out and had gotten tired of the routine he was going thru and had found footage he showed me on You Tube on Crossfit

WHAT FITNESS PROGRAM  WERE YOU DOING BEFORE CROSSFIT AND HOW DO THEY DIFFER?    I’ve worked out in the past, but honestly there no comparison to the levels of intensity & community that comes with Crossfit.

HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED SINCE JOINING CF BREED?  Well I applied the rule of 80/20 to my eating, and go to the Box 5x a week and in 3 months I can proudly say I have lost 30lbs

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO NEW COMERS TO CROSSFIT?   STRETCHING should be taken just as serious as the WOD

WHY DO YOU LIKE TRAINING AT CROSSFIT BREED?     Community @ BREED is Great, And Our Coach goes above the standard of guidance to ensure we our not only training correctly as a class but achieving our personal goals as athletes.

DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS? WHICH?   Played  Baseball, Now Softball

“The reason I select Jaime for this month’s Athlete of the Month is her tenacity and hard work.   She came to the box with a bit of skepticism, but tried everything that was asked of her.  She had no jump rope skills, now she can string together about 40 single unders.  She never used a barbell and now she dead lifts, back squats and presses.  Through all her cuts, bangs, scrapes and tears she continues to push and test her abilities.  From skeptic to believer, she is our Mighty Mouse and has earned the Athlete of the Month.”   – Coach Hutch
“She always comes to class upbeat and full of energy.  Always giving out free hugs and smiles, Jaime is never one to complain.  I remember one night she took the 730 class all by herself and did great.  Towards the end of the class Coach had her do a 2 minute AMRAP of leg raises.  First minute she was blowing through the movement, as time went on she cramped up but never stopped.  She completed the 2 minutes with tears rolling down her eyes.  This determination is why I select Jaime for the Athlete of the Month.”  -Liz Figgie

FOR HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CROSSFITTING: 10 weeks

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND  WHY:  deadlifts, I surprised myself last time we did our 1 rep max!  I’m definitely stronger than I thought I was or may appear!

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND WHY: wall balls…Coach Hutch knows that I can do ass to grass squats, so when I get tired he calls me on it!  Plus I’m afraid the ball is going to hit my face!

HOW DID YOU GET INTO CROSSFIT:  my boyfriend has been doing CrossFit with Hutch and Liz since last December.  He’s been getting stronger; being a strong believer in friends and supporting them in their dreams, I decided to give it a try!  I’m hooked!

WHAT FITNESS PROGRAM  WERE YOU DOING BEFORE CROSSFIT AND HOW DO THEY DIFFER :  I’ve done many different exercises including usage of a Bulgarian bag, RushFit videos, making my own program, yoga, bikram yoga.  This definitely kicks my ass every time…working out on your own vs having a group of friends cheer you on when you want to quit and feel defeated is awesomeness in itself!

HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED SINCE JOINING CF BREED: I feel more confident with myself, gaining some muscle.  I want to go on shopping sprees at sporting stores for workout outfits vs clothes/shoes for work..lol.  Before my appetite was unable to be satiated, now it’s worse!

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO NEW COMERS TO CROSSFIT: keep coming!  If you’re here to lose weight, remember muscle is heavier than fat…go by how you feel vs what the scale says.  You may hit a plateau, that’s when good nutrition comes in.. Hint hint!  Lol!  Also, don’t get discouraged or intimidated!  Your competition is your former self, Coach will help you with your form; no one is judging you!  We are all here to encourage you to be a better you!

WHY DO YOU LIKE TRAINING AT CROSSFIT BREED: I’ve made some connections with others in which makes it feel as a big family.  It’s clean too, and dog friendly!  🙂

DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS? WHICH?  I used to swim, way back in high school.

WHAT ARE YOUR FITNESS GOALS FOR 2014?  To get stronger, more “toned”, more flexible.

ANY FINAL WORDS?   I am also a Certified Personal Trainer, which is why I was a huge disbeliever of CrossFit!  The faster you do something, form breaks down.  Not with Coach Hutch!

HOW DID THE ALIAS OF YIN YANG COME ABOUT?
It came about because of Balance. I am both feminine and strong. I have two sides that are very different and distinct, however, one side could not exist without the other. Basically I have two personalities, lol (smirking).

FOR HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CROSSFITTING?
It will be 1 yr on 10/12

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND WHY?
My favorite WOD would have to be DT because it tests both strength and endurance, however my favorite movement would have to be overhead squats, why? Because I can go heavier than some of the boys haha.

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND WHY?
My least favorite WOD is FRAN, why because it’s so hyped hahaha, and my least favorite movement would be the push up it’s sooo challenging and there is no way for me to kip my way around it lol.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO CROSSFIT?
I was initially introduced to Crossfit by a coach I was training with for obstacle races.

WHAT FITNESS PROGRAM WERE YOU DOING BEFORE CROSSFIT AND HOW DO THEY DIFFER?
What I did before Crossfit was home videos, such as Insanity, Insanity the Asylum. After working on my endurance via Insanity I began obstacle course racing (OCR) and “long distance” running.

HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED SINCE JOINING CrossFit BREED?
I believe what has changed most about me since joining Crossfit Breed has been my confidence. I’m not nearly as embarrassed to FAIL or to demonstrate a move if asked to. My confidence within myself has been the biggest change I’ve seen, not to mention the 2 ½ pack I’ve acquired .

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO THE NEW COMERS THAT HAVE NEVER CROSSFITTED?
The advice I can give would be to believe in yourself, you will be asked to do things you never thought you could do, so just go for it. For women I would say don’t be afraid to go HEAVY and go HARD, we are a lot stronger than we appear on the surface.

WHY DO YOU LIKE TRAINING AT CROSSFIT BREED?
What I like about Crossfit Breed is the coaching. It is refreshing to have a coach with such patience and enthusiasm. Additionally I love the family environment they have created. It isn’t about cliques or keeping the strong with the strong, it is about pushing each and every member to their fullest potential and having a GREAT time doing so.

DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS? IF SO, WHICH?
I play PS3, haha.. JK right now Crossfit is my sport, although I’m considering some MMA in the near future.

WHAT ARE YOUR FITNESS GOALS FOR 2014?
My fitness goals for 2014 would be to master the snatch. I’d love to snatch my body weight, and to get MUSCLE UPS!!!! with dedication and GREAT coaching I know this will be possible.
