1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CROSSFITTING
I have been doing Crossfit for about 8 months.
2. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND WHY
My favorite movement are the back squats. The feeling of squatting heavy weights makes me feel stronger.
3. WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE WOD OR MOVEMENT AND WHY
I can’t think about a WOD or movement I didn’t like. Each one brings a challenge every time which I enjoy.
4. HOW DID YOU GET INTO CROSSFIT
I’ll try to make the story short, I was not happy with my weight of 274 lbs. and with my health. Going up stairs was a challenge, I would always be out of breath. I decided I needed a change and searched the internet for something other than a traditional gym. That is when I came across CrossFit Breed. As I navigated the site I realized I knew the coach, who happened to be my childhood friend. I saw it as a sign for the change that I was desperately seeking. I gave Coach Hutch a call to see if he could help me. Coach Hutch said “Yes, come down to the box. We will change your life!”
5. WHAT FITNESS PROGRAM WERE YOU DOING BEFORE CROSSFIT AND HOW DO THEY DIFFER
I was a member of a local gym but my motivation to get to the gym was not there! It was a waste of money! Crossfit is different each and every single day which I enjoy. Also, I look forward to working at the box with my fellow Crossfitters.
6. HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED SINCE JOINING CF BREED
Oh man, I am much more confident and stronger. I feel like a kid again, I’ve always been athletic and participated in baseball and football. I couldn’t wait to play and that’s how I feel with Crossfit. As for my health, I am trying to make better decisions with the food that I eat. I have lost over 50 lbs. I know how I felt before joining Crossfit Breed and I do not want to go back!
7. WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO NEW COMERS TO CROSSFIT
Don’t be intimidated, everyone works at their own pace. Be patient and have confidence in yourself. Give yourself a chance to become healthier and fit. DON’T GIVE UP!
8. WHY DO YOU LIKE TRAINING AT CROSSFIT BREED
I love the atmosphere plus the support from the coaches and the fellow Crossfitters at Crossfit Breed.
9. DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS? WHICH?
Yes, I play baseball and football.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR FITNESS GOALS FOR 2016?
I want to continue losing weight and doing everything Crossfit Breed has to offer. Hopefully get back on the baseball and football field.
